Finrod’s death gives Galadriel a reason to keep hunting Sauron after Morgoth’s defeat. Her company has had enough by the time she finds a mark associated with the enemy in a northern fortress. Back in Lindon, Gil-galad sends the warriors toward Valinor and directs Elrond toward a new assignment with Celebrimbor. In the Southlands, Arondir and Bronwyn find evidence that trouble is spreading beyond the village they know.
Ending explained
Galadriel jumps from the ship rather than abandon her search. Elsewhere, Nori investigates a meteor and discovers a man at the center of the impact. The episode ends with two acts of defiance that set the season’s separate journeys in motion.
