Halbrand proposes combining mithril with another metal, giving Celebrimbor a path forward. Galadriel investigates the Southlands’ royal line and discovers the claim about Halbrand cannot be true. He reveals he is Sauron and tries to win her to his side. The figures pursuing the Stranger mistake him for Sauron before he turns on them with help from his Harfoot friends.
Ending explained
Galadriel survives and the Elves forge three rings. Nori sets out with the Stranger toward Rhûn, while Sauron heads to Mordor. Season 2 begins with the consequences of forging the rings and the risk that Celebrimbor can be manipulated again.
